Overview
NeaNerdu Uploader ("the app") is a personal tool used only by the owner of the Nea Nerdu YouTube channel to upload and schedule that channel's own videos, and to read that channel's own analytics. The app uses YouTube API Services. By using the app you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. How Google handles data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Information the app accesses
- Google sign-in tokens. When the owner signs in, Google issues an access token and a
refresh token for two permissions:
youtube.upload("Manage your YouTube videos") andyoutube.force-ssl(managing the channel's videos, thumbnails and playlists). A separate sign-in issues a token for one read-only permission:yt-analytics.readonly("View YouTube Analytics reports for your YouTube content"). - Basic channel information: the channel's ID and name, read to confirm that videos go to the right channel.
- The owner's own videos and their details: video files, titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, publish times and playlist placement, which the app sends to YouTube, and the upload and processing status of those videos, which it reads back to confirm each upload worked.
- The channel's own analytics, read-only: YouTube Analytics reports about the Nea Nerdu channel's own videos, such as views, watch time, where the views came from, and the audience's country and age group. These are totals for the channel and its videos, never information about individual viewers.
The app does not access any other data: no other channels' or users' information, no comments, no subscriber lists, and no other Google services. The analytics permission is read-only: the app never changes anything through it.
How the information is used
Only to upload and schedule the owner's own videos on the owner's own channel, to confirm they uploaded correctly, and to show the owner how the channel's own videos perform, to help plan future videos. It is not used for advertising, profiling or any other purpose.
Where the information is stored
The sign-in tokens are stored in local files on the owner's computer. Video files and their details, and any analytics reports the owner reads, stay in the owner's local folders. The app has no server, database or cloud storage, and no data is sent to the developer or anyone else.
Sharing
The app shares information only with Google/YouTube, as needed to upload and schedule the videos. Nothing is sold or shared with third parties. The app shows no third-party advertising or content.
Cookies and device information
The app does not use cookies and does not collect information about devices. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or trackers. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, and GitHub may process technical visitor data such as IP addresses, as described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Keeping and deleting data, and revoking access
The sign-in tokens are kept on the owner's computer until the owner deletes those files or revokes access. Analytics reports are kept only as long as the owner needs them and can be deleted at any time. Access can be revoked at any time on the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. Revoking stops the app's access immediately, and any analytics reports kept from it are deleted within 30 days. Videos already on YouTube are managed in YouTube Studio.
